Well about me??? I actually did not begin my photography career loving photography. I was actually a cake designer for 10 years and I decided to buy me a "nice" camera to photograph my cakes so that they would look pretty when I posted the pictures. Well as I began shooting the cakes, I ventured out into shooting other things and I began to really like photography. So I decided to pursue this further as a career and attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh to get my certificate in Photography. I then just kept learning all I could about photography and in 2013  Knyla Harris Photography was born. Since then I have been a part of so many people's lives. I am a photographer who loves God and I believe that God orchestrated my life that I may find my passion which is photography. in March of 2020, I opened my first studio in the Chatham Centre in Chatham, VA. I have been published in 18 magazines including Virginia Bride for my portrait work. I am a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America) as well as VPPA (Virginia Professional Photographers of America). In 2023 I became an award-winning photographer, winning the Court of Honor Best Portrait of a Man, Commonwealth Collection and the Prestigious Vanguard Award for the Highest Case Score of a First-time entrant in VPPA Print Competition. In 2025, I won Court of Honor Portrait of a Man again in VPPA.  I also have 2- Imaging Excellence Merits and a Merited Image in PPA  I love what I do and I love meeting my clients who have become friends and a part of my family.
